First, I want to thank my long-standing readers. I love to know that there are people out there, no matter how few, who read this blog. Thank you! I wanted to give MP a facelift for a couple reasons... I first published MP in August of 2014. Since it's been over three years, I wanted to update in order to better reflect the purpose of MP. Also since I started college, I wanted to bring MP along into the new chapter of my life! :) Secondly, I have declared a niche for the blog-- lifestyle! Generally, I'll be sticking to the basics: faith, family, friends, and food. I'm just writing as myself for others who might be/probably are facing some of the same challenges as I am, especially as a college student. Notice, there is a new Home page! There is a little introductory overview and featured posts. The photo is taken by yours truly, so please respect my ownership of the picture :) Thanks! There is also an improved About page! Please check it out, it's a more solid synopsis, overview, mission statement?? It's a page that tells you what's up, how about that? ;) Lastly, I've added Categories! If you are looking for a post about a topic in particular head on over to the sidebar and get yo browse on! Specifically, you can check out the "Welcome" category which includes any introductory post I've written or any posts that I believe are important for new readers to see so we are all on the same page. I've been working on a lot of new content for yinz which I'm super psyched about! My hope is that this new content will facilitate a more constant flow of posts on MP blog; however, I am still a full-time student, so there might be some gaps and pauses. But-- that's what keeps the world spinning so just bear with me! :) MP is still on Bloglovin' so please, if you enjoy reading MP blog, please follow on Bloglovin'! There is a widget in the right sidebar ova there >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> or you can go to www.bloglovin.com and search "Meghan's Place" and follow that way, too. Thank you, thank you! From my desk to yours,
Meghan

Make sure to check out the other pages to learn more about me!
I called my blog Meghan's Place because that is what I want to call any business that I might open when I grow up. Possibly a coffee shop or a salon... Last school year I did my career exploration paper on becoming a hair stylist. However, I am adamant about going to a traditional four year college. So I decided that I would go to beauty school after high school and attend college for a business degree. Over the summer, I have realized that practically my entire life I have thought, Maybe I will open a little coffee shop when I grow up! My mom always says that particular towns near our house need a coffee shop. So there is a demand for one opening; you can find a salon pretty much everywhere you go! Also you don't need any specialty schooling to open a coffee shop but to complete beauty school you need to practice for hundreds of hours. At a coffee shop you can choose what you offer but at a salon you can't say that you will only create certain styles because you will be running a very unsuccessful business! And lastly, opening a coffee shop would fulfill my need for a non-monotonous job. Yes I would be making the same drinks everyday, and yes there would be some regular customers, but a lot of them would be people I have never met. So it would be an exciting job!! So I think I have made a complete introduction to this blog, between this post and the other two pages! Please check back often to see my latest posts! Until next time, Meghan |
